Thank-you to the staff team and church board who have put so much time, research and effort into compiling this brief booklet. There is much to ponder. Much to dream about and to in faith anticipate. I'm impressed. Just love the atrium concept and the way so much will connect there.

One question I have is if the buildings are hired out to other groups for use will we be able to realistically maintain control over what that usage might be if certain groups have a financial buy in?

We've thought a lot about this. Any groups that may contribute financially, such as the Auckland Council, will be required to sign up to a carefully worded agreement that states the guidelines for use of the building, or parts of it. The church will always maintain full control over these conditions of usage. I envisage that we would only accept funding if its on this basis.

Yesterday I was having a discussion with a person who loves the concept brief, but wondered if the Chapel could be closer to the front of the building. My response was two-fold:
1. Possibly the Chapel could be closer to the front of the building, but we want to leave this decision flexible for the architects to come around. The challenge of writing a brief is to get the balance between being so prescriptive that it leaves no room for architects creativity and being too vague.
2. In the current location the idea is:
- to have a large window(s) looking out on the nice green foliage at the back of the property and
- enjoying the quietness of being further away from New North Rd's traffic noise.
